Long story short!
Just in case you do not have time to read below

Will I fit in here?

YES!

We’re hard to box. We’re not perfect. We’re not pretending. We would love to see you!

We just love Jesus, understanding the bible and loving people. We believe church should feel like family — not an annual meeting with your accountant (sorry to all the tax professionals out there, we have just peeved off)

Connect with us or just come have a look. Come ask questions of life and Jesus with us.

Bring your family, bring your friends, but most importantly, bring yourself, we’d genuinely love to meet you!

Who the heck are we?

We’re New Vine Vineyards (NVV) — and we’re pretty upfront about one thing: we love Jesus. Full stop. No apologies. No weirdness. Just real people trying to live a Life Jesus Christ.

We also absolutely love our local patch — Branxton, Greta, Huntlee and wherever else you call home. We love it so much… we moved in.

Late 2024 things were growing quick. Big dreams. Bigger prayers. So we bought up a big property on Maitland Street in Branxton. There’s a stunning old house from 1847 on it plus a shed we’re converting into a home for our Community Food Bank, which has been running out of Greta ATM.

We’re not just here for Sunday. We’re here for the community.

Whether you’re rocking up for church, a community fun day, youth, men’s or women’s nights, one of our small groups, or just popping in for the Vineyards FoodBank — we’re genuinely happy you’re here.

No matter why you walked in… you’re welcome.

So what’s 'your' Church actually like?

Well… we’re a modern Christian church.

Technically? Denominationally - We’re a Baptist Church!

But honestly? Jesus isn’t up in heaven sorting people into denominational lines. He sees one Church. His Church.

But yes, we’re formally part of The Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT, which has over 350 church congregations working together across the state. Same heart. Same mission. Same goal — we we all point people to Jesus Christ.

Some people jokingly call us “Bapticostal.”
A bit Baptist foundation - a bit Pentecostal fire, if you do not know these words, don't worry!
We base our Church on solid biblical teaching,  faith in Jesus. Some people sing and raise their hands sometimes, some are old-fashioned Baptist 'Happy Clappers', some come when the singing at the start is over.

However, coffee is always and tea for those who want it, not to mention juice, water and ... good old Baptist cakes aplenty.

So if you want to label us,  please do so. But the best way to truly know is to come see us!

So who’s actually comes to Church here?

Short answer? Everyone. We have humans here from 3 to 87.

We've - Tradies. Accountants. Doctors. Winemakers. Married couples. Single parents. Grandparents. Big families. Tiny families. Loners. Young at hearts…and the list go on.

We’ve got a group of blokes who love to shoot and make their own game sausages.

A crew that hits Bunnings in Cessnock for coffee runs every few weeks.

A whole heap of teens who hang out on Friday nights.

A couple of recently discharged Defence Force Veterans.

A team of ladies who bake like champions.

And Women who can clean up nicely for a night out at Nineteen in Pokolbin.

We’ve got Aussies, Africans, Europeans, Asians — a proper mix of nations and stories. We believe Jesus does not see your race, nationality or skin colour; he only sees your heart!

You might even bump into Ned Flanders… minus the green jumper (maybe).

What about my kids?

Bring ’em. Seriously. We love having kids around.

On Sundays , we run Kids Cru and Youth Cru (what used to be called Sunday School back in the day).

“Cru” comes from the French word meaning a great spot to grow a Vineyard — which feels pretty fitting for a church called New Vine Vineyards. A vineyard is only as good as what’s growing in it, right? Good soil. Deep roots. Strong vines. That’s the heart behind it.

Kids Cru and Youth Cru aren’t babysitting services — they’re spaces where young legends can grow in faith, build solid friendships, ask big questions, and learn about Jesus Christ in ways that actually make sense for their age. It is also okay if your kids or teens want to stay in with the adults too.

Kids = Annoying

Now for those who might be thinking, “Oh great… noisy kids running riot…”

Yes, they may demolish most of the morning tea. Yes, they have energy levels we can only dream of. But they keep the place alive. They keep us young. And halfway through the service they head out to their own Crus so they can have a blast learning at their level — while you enjoy the sermon without someone asking for snacks every 3 minutes.

But seriously… This matters to us because it mattered to Jesus. In the Bible (specifically, in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

We don’t see kids as a distraction. We see them as the future of the Church. So if you’re worried your little one might be loud, wriggly, shy, full-on, or somewhere in between — don’t stress. We’d rather have a bit of beautiful chaos than a silent room with a bunch of walking canes lined up at the rear of the Chruch.

Bring the kids - let them grow!

What do I wear?
Whatever you want!

We don’t have a dress code. There are no fashion police at the door, thank the Lord! No one is measuring the holiness of your hemline.

Back in the day, “Sunday best” was the thing — polished shoes, ironed shirts, the whole works. And hey, if that’s your vibe, go for it.

But at NVV? You’ll see everything from

Jeans to Boardies. Nice dresses. Slacks and a button-up. Boots. Sneakers. Thongs and baseball caps!

We’re way more interested in you showing up than what you’re showing off.

All we ask is the basics — be comfortable, and maybe keep covered what Jesus Christ probably wouldn’t want on display in church.

You don’t need to impress anyone. God isn’t grading outfits.

Come as you are...really!

So I read it all and I am still here ... what next?
